3,14BAN at Art Meets IT 2025: Where Culture Meets Innovation
On June 22, we visited the opening of Art Meets IT 2025 — an event that brings together cultural heritage, digital technology, art, and business. Hosted at MAK Hub in Kharkiv, this event wasn’t just a conference — it was a space of ideas that deeply resonates with what we do at 3,14BAN.
Why were we there?
Because upcycling is also about preservation and transformation. We take discarded materials and turn them into new, valuable objects. That same concept was at the heart of the event's sessions — from the digital preservation of cultural heritage to the sustainable growth of creative businesses.
What inspired us?
📍 Digital Representation of Cultural HeritageKateryna Kotenko from the Central State Scientific and Technical Archive of Ukraine shared how archives are becoming accessible through 3D models, interactive databases, and virtual exhibitions.
📍 International Communication and Cultural DiplomacyOleksii Zeniakin’s talk on intercultural communication in international heritage projects reminded us that 3,14BAN is not just about objects — it’s about the message. We’re already speaking the language of upcycling to the world — and we’re ready to amplify that voice.
📍 Theatre, Museums, and Contemporary ArtKateryna Mamontova and Viktoriia Moskaliets discussed innovation in museums and Kharkiv’s theatre scene. This inspired us to explore new formats for collaboration — artistic merchandise, theatre accessories, museum time capsules — all already in discussion with our partners.
📍 Sustainable Development and Monetization of CultureA particularly impactful moment was the panel discussion with experts from Lithuania, Georgia, and the EU. The message was clear: culture should not only be preserved, but also generate income. That’s exactly why 3,14BAN combines meaning, aesthetics, and a sustainable business model.
Our takeaway
Art Meets IT 2025 proves that the cultural industry in Ukraine is not only alive — it’s boldly moving forward. And we, as a brand born from the upcycling of banners and denim, want to be part of that transformation.
