3,14BAN Team Joined the UNDP Training “Business Development Strategy for MSMEs”
The 3,14BAN team took part in the training “Business Development Strategy for MSMEs”, delivered with the support of UNDP in Ukraine within the project “Support to Inclusive Recovery for Resilience and Human Security in Ukraine”, funded by the Government of Japan. For us, this was not just “business learning” — it was a practical toolkit that strengthens our ability to scale upcycling, develop our team systematically, and increase our social and environmental impact.
Why it matters for 3,14BAN
3,14BAN operates at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and responsible resource use. We transform discarded materials (including PVC advertising banners) into functional products and corporate merchandise, proving that circular solutions can be competitive, high-quality, and meaningful. The training helped us take a broader look at our growth: as a strategy that connects finance, operational efficiency, team development, marketing, sales, and partnerships.
What we strengthened during the training
During the training, the 3,14BAN team focused on business topics that are essential for a production-based company:
- Strategic goals and annual priorities: identifying what drives the biggest results and where to invest resources first.
- A growth model: increasing order volume without losing quality or the brand’s core mission.
- Operational processes: standardizing key stages — material collection and preparation, cutting, sewing, and quality control.
- B2B positioning and sales: communicating the value of upcycled corporate merchandise more clearly (ESG/CSR, material storytelling, uniqueness, flexible terms).
- Financial logic: improving planning for costs, margins, and production capacity for different types of orders.
How it will shape our next steps
We are translating the learning into concrete actions:
- Updating our growth plan with clear priorities and measurable indicators (production, sales, partnerships).
- Building stronger systems in operations — so scaling increases stability instead of creating chaos.
- Clearer value communication for clients and partners: what they receive beyond the product itself.
- Strengthening team capacity — not only to make products, but to grow a resilient business model.
We thank UNDP in Ukraine for organizing the training and supporting the development of micro, small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine, and the Government of Japan for funding the project “Support to Inclusive Recovery for Resilience and Human Security in Ukraine.”
3,14BAN continues to work toward making upcycling not an exception, but a new standard — in business, design, and responsible manufacturing.
