3,14BAN × VATAHA: When Culture Meets Upcycling

3,14BAN × VATAHA: When Culture Meets Upcycling

The brand 3,14BAN, together with the cultural community VATAHA, has created a limited collection of cosmetic pouches and tote bags made from banners that once served as decorations for art events and cultural exhibitions.

This project is an example of how upcycling can unite aesthetics, responsibility, and culture. We took materials that had fulfilled their original purpose and transformed them into practical and meaningful items that carry a story within.

Instead of sending the banners to waste, we gave them a second life — turning them into stylish accessories that remind us of the events that connect Ukrainians around the world. Each tote bag and pouch is a unique fragment of VATAHA’s story, where design meets meaning and conscious use of resources.

Our products are eco-merch that doesn’t create new waste — it helps reduce it. They demonstrate that style can be ethical, and materials can be reused endlessly and purposefully.

The collaboration with VATAHA became not only a creative challenge for 3,14BAN but also a reflection of shared values — supporting Ukrainian culture, developing sustainable production, and promoting the idea of upcycling in Ukraine.

We believe that projects like this can change how we see the world around us: what was once a banner can now become a symbol of a new kind of aesthetics — responsible, modern, and deeply meaningful.
