We Preserve History Together with the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War
At 3,14BAN, we believe that objects with history can continue to live on. That is why our collaboration with the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War (War Museum) is so special to us. Together, we have transformed materials of the past into things that work for the future.
How It All Began
On October 1, 2023, under the renewed Motherland Monument crowned with the Ukrainian trident, the War Museum hosted the first “Surma” Festival of Military Music. This event united Ukrainians through the power of song and left behind a strong cultural legacy — the banners of the 2023 and 2024 festivals.
The museum decided that these materials should not simply disappear. We are proud that the War Museum invited 3,14BAN to become a partner and give these banners a second life.
A Second Life for Banners — More Than 70 Tote Bags
In 2025, our team transformed the festival banners into over 70 unique tote bags. Each of them represents:
- Preserved history, reminding us of the events that unite Ukrainians;
- An example of banner upcycling, where used materials become stylish and functional accessories;
- A symbol of sustainable development and conscious consumption, merging fashion with environmental responsibility.
Why It Matters
For us, upcycling is more than a technique — it is a philosophy: preserving historical memory through upcycling while caring for the planet. Each tote bag embodies both past and future — culture that inspires and sustainability that shapes tomorrow.
We are proud that the War Museum has become an example for cultural institutions, proving that it is possible to protect heritage and think forward at the same time.
Our Mission
The 3,14BAN brand creates eco-merch and upcycled accessories that prove responsible design can be stylish. This joint project with the War Museum is yet another confirmation that upcycling in Ukraine can change not only fashion but also our attitude toward history.
